HCMC – Esteban Lazo Hernandez, president of Cuba’s National Assembly of People’s Power and president of the Council of State, arrived in Hanoi with a delegation on September 30, beginning his official visit to Vietnam.
Hernandez will co-chair the second meeting of the Vietnam-Cuba Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee from September 30 to October 5 at the invitation of National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
The visit coincides with the 65th anniversary of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic ties in 2025. This marks the fifth visit to Vietnam by Esteban Lazo Hernandez in his capacity as Cuba’s parliamentary leader.
Esteban Lazo Hernandez’s visit highlights Vietnam’s consistent commitment to deepening traditional solidarity, special friendship, and comprehensive cooperation with Cuba, and to firmly supporting the Cuban people’s revolutionary cause.
On the afternoon of September 30, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man is scheduled to welcome and hold talks with his Cuban counterpart Esteban Lazo Hernandez at the National Assembly building.
