For nearly two decades, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has been more than a leading life insurance company — it has been a trusted companion of millions of Vietnamese people. Drawing on 123 years of humanistic philosophy from its parent company, Dai-ichi Life group, and guided by the principle of “Thinking People First,” the company has not only achieved sustainable business growth but also become a force for positive social change across the nation.

Through its “For a Better Life” Foundation, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has implemented hundreds of community programs each year in education, healthcare, the environment, and social welfare. To date, its total contributions have surpassed VND80 billion, empowering local communities and nurturing a vision of a sustainable, compassionate Vietnam.

Nurturing the dreams of the next generation

Believing that “Children are the Buds of the Nation” Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has long placed education and child welfare at the heart of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts. Over the past 18 years, the company has donated scholarships, bicycles, school supplies, and warm clothing to more than 55,000 disadvantaged students, with contributions exceeding VND30 billion.

One of its most impactful initiatives is the “Clean Water for Schools” project, launched in 2012 to improve access to safe drinking water and foster a healthier learning environment. So far, the project has installed 155 filtration systems and 13 clean water facilities worth over VND8.5 billion, benefiting more than 45,000 students and teachers at nearly 140 schools in rural areas.

Promoting health and well-being

With a heartfelt commitment to improving public health, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has pioneered numerous initiatives aimed at saving lives and promoting wellness. Among its most meaningful efforts is the annual “Connecting Million Hearts – Blood Donation” program, which has collected over 7,500 units of blood — a lifeline for thousands of patients across Vietnam.

Since 2008, the company has also joined hands with the Ho Chi Minh City Sponsoring Association for Poor Patients to conduct free cataract surgeries. Nearly 11,500 patients have regained their sight through this partnership, restoring not only their vision but also their confidence and hope.

In 2025, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam launched a community healthcare program worth VND1 billion to provide free medical check-ups and treatment for people in need. The first round, held in Lam Dong in July, supported hundreds of residents with a budget of VND280 million.

Meanwhile, the “Dai-ichi Life – The Journey of Love” initiative, introduced in 2021, encourages physical activity while giving back to the community. The campaign has attracted over 90,000 participants, raising more than VND20 billion for social and environmental causes. It reflects the company’s vision of creating a lifelong health and wellness ecosystem for customers, partners, and society.

For a greener planet

Environmental protection is another key pillar of Dai-ichi Life Vietnam’s CSR strategy. Aligned with its Dai-ichi Life group’s climate commitments, the company has launched the “Happiness for the Earth” campaign to promote green growth and sustainability.

So far, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam has planted 33,000 trees in major areas such as Da Nang, Hanoi, Phu Tho, Quang Nam’s coastal forests, and Dong Xuan protective forests. The company also promotes green offices, beach cleanups, and plastic waste reduction — actions that embody its dedication to Vietnam’s Green Era.

Extending compassion to northern communities

When severe floods and storms struck northern Vietnam in 2025, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam swiftly responded through its “Connecting Million Hearts – Happiness for the Community” program. The company contributed VND540 million to assist residents in Dien Bien, Son La, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh. Weeks ago, following storms Bualoi and Matmo, the company donated an additional VND3 billion to help families in 12 northern provinces rebuild their lives.

Earlier, in 2024, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam and its employees had raised over VND6 billion to aid more than 4,000 flood victims in 22 provinces, offering emergency support, healthcare, and education assistance for affected children.

Guided by its mission “For the Secure and Happy Future of Vietnamese People,” Dai-ichi Life Vietnam continues to put people, health, and the environment at the heart of its growth strategy. Through premier financial protection solutions, health and wellness programs, and active community engagement, the company reaffirms its long-term commitment “Lifetime Partner” of Vietnam and its people.
