HCMC – Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha has signed a decision recognizing the FPT office complex in Danang City as a concentrated information technology park.
The IT park covers over 5.9 hectares of land in the FPT Danang technology urban area in Ngu Hanh Son District’s Hoa Hai Ward, and features six floors.
Construction of the facility began in 2014, with total capital of VND1.4 trillion, the local media reported.
The ring-shaped park is the center for research and development activities, technology transfers and production, and technology service supplies.
The IT park is responsible for training tech staff, incubating tech startups, organizing fairs and exhibitions, promoting IT activities and attracting foreign investment.
Speaking at a seminar titled “Investing in Danang” on March 18, Do Thi Quynh Tram, deputy director of the Danang Investment Promotion Agency, said the city was calling for investment in projects at the Danang Hi-Tech Park, which is one of three national hi-tech zones and is the only one in the central and Central Highlands regions. The 1,130-hectare park has attracted 27 domestic and foreign investors, with total registered capital of US$890 million.
