HCMC – The People’s Committee of Danang City has released a plan to establish a free trade zone, detailing tasks such as policy formulation, urban planning, infrastructure development, customs procedures, and setting up an operational system.
According to Plan No. 7/KH-UBND, the government of Danang has instructed relevant agencies to develop a policy proposal for the Danang free trade zone, supplementing those outlined in Resolution 136, by the end of this year.
The city will immediately begin tasks to adjust planning at all levels, ensuring compliance with current regulations and land procedures within the boundaries of the free trade zone at five priority locations.
These include Site 2 (77 hectares), part of Lien Chieu Industrial Park in Hai Van Ward; Site 3 (500 hectares) in Hai Van Ward; Site 5 (90 hectares) within the Ba Na – Suoi Mo tourism complex in Ba Na Commune; Site 6 (154 hectares), a functional area within the hillside urban subzone in Ba Na Commune; and Site 7 (401 hectares) spanning Ba Na and Hoa Vang Communes.
In addition, Danang will urgently develop land clearance plans for densely populated areas at Site 1 and Site 4.
The People’s Committee of Danang has assigned relevant departments and agencies to study and develop support policies for investors in the free trade zone.
Specifically, the model will include policies to support investment in technical and social infrastructure, as well as financial assistance for land clearance costs in densely populated areas with high compensation expenses, targeting strategic investors.
