HCMC – Danang City has unveiled a plan to invest VND7,260 billion in building a series of yacht marinas and developing related facilities to stimulate growth.
On May 29, Danang approved a plan for developing the yacht industry and related services in the city until 2030, with a vision to 2050. The investment required for the development of the yacht industry is VND5,700 billion, while yacht services will require VND1,560 billion.
Several notable yacht wharf projects include three in Hai Chau District: an international wharf on the Han River near Bach Dang Street (one hectare), an international wharf in Da Phuoc Urban Area (three hectares), and the Bach Dang Wharf near Nguyen Van Troi Bridge. Another significant project is the Thuan Phuoc International Wharf in Son Tra District.
By 2030, the city aims to develop industries and services related to yachting, with a contribution to the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) reaching 2 to 3%.
By 2050, Danang plans to transform the Tien Sa seaport into an international yacht marina and continue developing the yacht industry and services into a distinct brand, expected to contribute about 4 to 5% to GRDP.
