HCMC — The Danang City government has approved a VND1.6-trillion project to build a road connecting the city’s Western Beltway and the La Son–Tuy Loan Expressway to improve traffic flow and ease congestion in central areas.

Under Decision No. 1797 issued by the municipal People’s Committee, the project will be carried out from 2025 to 2028 in Ba Na Commune and Lien Chieu Ward.

The route will start at the Western Beltway in Ba Na Commune and end at the southern access road of the Hai Van–Tuy Loan Tunnel in Lien Chieu Ward. It is designed for vehicles traveling at speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour.

The new road is part of Danang’s master plan through 2030, with a vision to 2045, which seeks to complete the city’s major transport network and enhance connectivity in the southern and western areas.

Once completed, the project is expected to link key economic zones, including the Information Technology Park, the High-Tech Park, and the Hoa Ninh Industrial Park, with the city’s main transport corridors. It will also support freight transport between Lien Chieu Port and the southern and western regions of the city.

The project will help reduce traffic pressure on downtown roads, particularly during rush hours, and improve road safety.
