HCMC – The Danang IT Park Development JSC (DITP), under the Trungnam Group, and Singapore’s Infracrowd Capital yesterday, November 23, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) developing a data center meeting Tier 3 Plus standards at the Danang IT Park, with some US$100 million in investment.

John Lee, founder and managing director of Infracrowd Capital, said that following the signing of the MoU, the two sides would become comprehensive strategic partners on the development of a green data center and sustainable infrastructure facilities in Vietnam. He added that this is a cooperation opportunity, enabling Danang to realize its goal of becoming a smart city and promoting e-Government services and the digital economy.

According to Huynh Lien Phuong, director of the Danang Investment Promotion and Support Board, the cooperation has a significant meaning in attracting investment into Danang, especially in the IT sector. She also hoped more IT investors would opt for Danang to invest and run their businesses in this central city.

At the event, Trungnam EMS, under the Trungnam Group, and Xelex Technology JSC clinched a deal to join the “Internet and computers for students” program launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications. Under the deal, 100,000 tablets manufactured at Trungnam EMS will be offered to students to assist with their online learning.

The Danang IT Park, invested by the Trungnam Group, currently has five large-scale factories with a floor area of 4,000-6,000 square meters set to be put into operation in the first quarter of 2022. In addition, other projects such as an expert zone, a serviced eco-park and a central park are nearing completion.
