HCMC – The International Ngoc Linh Ginseng and Medicinal Herbs Festival 2026 will take place in the central city of Danang from August 1 to 3, aiming to celebrate Ngoc Linh ginseng, dubbed “Vietnam’s national treasure,” while promoting wellness tourism and high-tech medicinal processing.
Main activities will take place at APEC Park and along the Bach Dang pedestrian street in the downtown, with satellite events held in mountainous communes, including Tra Linh (the city’s Ngoc Linh ginseng growing area), and Tra Tap (known for cinnamon cultivation).
The opening ceremony includes a ritual procession of the “Ginseng God” and traditional gong performances by Ca Dong and Xe Dang ethnic groups. Other highlights of the festival are the Ginseng God worship ceremony and seedling donation, aimed at supporting disadvantaged households and fostering community solidarity.
The festival also serves as a strategic platform to connect policymakers, scientists, and investors. Beyond the exhibitions of OCOP (One Commune, One Product) and medicinal herbs, attendees can experience “Wilderness Flavors” cuisine, the “Million Steps to the Ginseng Realm” marathon and Ngoc Linh Ginseng-branded golf and pickleball tournaments.
By hosting this international event, Danang expects to attract significant investment into its wellness and recovery tourism sectors, ultimately creating sustainable livelihoods for local communities and promoting Ngoc Linh ginseng products among global partners.
