HCMC – PetroVietnam Ca Mau Fertilizer Joint Stock Company (HOSE: DCM) exported its first fertilizer shipment totaling 40,000 tons to the United States in February 2026, marking its entry into one of the world’s largest fertilizer markets.
The shipment was part of the company’s export strategy in the first quarter of this year, when domestic fertilizer demand typically slows after the Lunar New Year holiday. The company stepped up exports to capitalize on favorable global fertilizer prices, reduce domestic inventory and improve business efficiency.
In the first quarter, the company exported a total of 150,000 tons of fertilizer, up 25% year-on-year. The 40,000-ton shipment to the U.S. in February was its first to that market, which has stringent technical and quality standards.
The U.S. market has been considered challenging for Asian fertilizer producers due to geographical distance and competition from suppliers in North Africa and the Middle East. The company said the shipment reflects its preparation in product quality, logistics capacity and compliance with technical standards.
