HCMC – Digiworld Corporation (HOSE: DGW) has announced its dividend payment plan for fiscal 2023, including a 30% stock dividend and a 5% cash dividend.
Shareholders will receive VND500 for every share held. The company will issue over 50 million shares to pay the stock dividend, giving shareholders 30 new shares for every 100 shares held. This will be funded by VND867 billion in after-tax profit which has been undistributed since December 31, 2023.
The firm’s board of directors also revised the 2024 employee stock ownership plan (ESOP).
The company will issue two million shares at VND10,000 each for employees in the third and fourth quarters. Unsold shares will be redistributed under similar conditions to other eligible buyers.
These ESOP shares will be restricted from transfer for one year. If an employee leaves within this period, the company will buy back the shares at the issue price for treasury stock.
Digiworld has yet to release its financial report for the second quarter. In the first quarter, the company gained nearly VND5 trillion in revenue and VND92 billion in profit, up by 26% and 16% year-over-year, respectively.
For the whole year, Digiworld looks to obtain VND23 trillion in revenue and VND490 billion in profit, projecting 22% and 38% growth compared to 2023.
Closing the trading session today, July 30, DWG edged down by 0.99% to VND59,800 per share, with a trading volume of over 1.2 million shares.
The VN-Index dipped by 1.54 points, or 0.12%, to 1,245.06 points, with 154 gainers and 267 losers.
Stock trade on the southern exchange surged by 21% in both volume and value over the previous session, with over 653 million shares valued at VND13.7 trillion changing hands. Block deals accounted for more than 50.7 million shares worth VND1.16 trillion.
VIC, MWG and MBB were the best performers among the 30 largest-cap stocks, with each rising between 1.44% and 1.66%.
On the other hand, VHM, VIB, PLX and POW saw the steepest declines, falling between 1.08% and 1.47%.
MBB took the lead by liquidity on the market with 19.5 million shares traded. SHB, HPG and VPB followed with 17.5 million, 15.5 million, and 12.8 million shares transacted, respectively.
The Hanoi Stock Exchange saw 55 advancers and 105 decliners. The HNX-Index lost 1.65 points, or 0.69%, to 235.87 points. Trading volume on the northern exchange totaled over 54.2 million shares worth VND985.3 billion.
