HCMC – Development Investment Construction JSC, or DIC Corp (HOSE: DIG) will issue over 36.59 million shares to pay a 6% stock dividend for 2024, with May 30 chosen as the shareholder record date.
That means shareholders will receive six new shares for every 100 shares held.
In addition to the stock dividend plan, DIC Corp previously secured approval from shareholders at its 2025 annual general meeting to offer shares to existing shareholders at a ratio of 24.596%.
The company plans to issue 150 million shares at VND12,000 each to mobilize VND1.8 trillion. The offering is expected to take place between the third and fourth quarters of 2025.
In the first quarter of 2025, DIC Corp reported VND176.53 billion in revenue, down 5.3% from a year earlier. Its net loss narrowed to VND45.44 billion, compared to a loss of VND121.24 billion in the same period last year.
Closing the trading session today, May 16, the DIG stock lost 1.56% to VND15,750, with nearly 10.7 million shares changing hands.
Regarding the stock market, widespread selling pressure, particularly from bank stocks, weighed heavily on the market, causing it to reverse course. At one point, the VN-Index even fell below the 1,300-point mark.
The Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HOSE) saw 132 stocks advance and 186 others decline, with its VN-Index dropping by 11.81 points, or 0.9%, to close the session at 1,301.39.
Over 905.7 million shares worth VND20.76 trillion were traded, down by 18.87% in volume and by 19.8% in value compared to the previous session. Block transactions accounted for more than 53.5 million shares valued at nearly VND1.12 trillion.
The VN30-Index closed down more than 17 points, with 24 decliners and only four gainers. VRE led the gainers with a 1.4% rise, while PLX, SAB and VIC saw marginal changes around 0.5%.
On the downside, FPT extended its losses in the afternoon session to close 3.2% lower. BVH and VPB each dropped 2.7%, followed by VIB down 2.4% and STB 2.2%.
On the northern bourse, the HNX saw 60 gainers and 103 losers. The HNX-Index slipped 0.59 points, or 0.27%, to 218.69.
Matching volume totaled 81.25 million shares, worth VND1.146 trillion. Around 0.3 million shares were traded in block deals, valued at over VND7 billion.
