DIC Group dissolves subsidiary

HCMC – Development Investment Construction JSC (DIC) has dissolved its subsidiary DIC Commerce Development Investment JSC.

The dissolution comes after DIC’s Board of Directors issued a resolution on April 13, 2023, merging DIC Commerce Development Investment JSC into another subsidiary, DIC Vision Company.

DIC Commerce, established on July 6, 2021, was active in real estate business and brokerage, with total charter capital of VND30 billion. DIC held a 98.67% stake.

With only VND813 million in total revenue in 2022, primarily from leasing and interest income, DIC Commerce racked up pre-tax losses of VND1.52 billion.

Closing the trading session today, January 8, DIC’s DIG shares extended their winning streak to the fourth session with a 2.21% gain, rising to VND27,750 per share, with a matching volume of 31.7 million shares.

The Hochiminh Stock Exchange wrapped up its trading session with 273 winners and 234 losers. The VN-Index rose by a modest 0.48%, or 5.51 points, to 1,160.19 points.

Stock trade improved 12.7% in volume and 17.8% in value over the previous session, with 905.4 million shares valued at VND16.3 trillion changing hands. Block deals contributed 91 million shares worth VND2 trillion to the overall value.

The banking sector attracted cash flow. BID stole the limelight as it advanced by 4.3% to VND46,400 per share. With more than 1.9 million shares matched, the lender contributed nearly 2.8 points to the benchmark index.

The three bank stocks of VCB, TCB and CTG also performed well, collectively contributing 0.7-0.85 point to the VN-Index. VCB edged up by 0.7% to VND86,800 per share, TCB increased 2.7% to VND34,100 per share, and CTG rose 1.9% to VND29,550 per share.

Bank stock SHB took the lead by liquidity, with over 38.3 million shares changing hands. The stock inched up by 1.3% to VND11,700 per share.

The HNX-Index made a marginal rise of 0.24%, or 0.57 point, to 233.33 points. The Hanoi Stock Exchange got 97 gainers and 72 decliners, with a total trading volume of 82.78 million shares valued at VND1.65 trillion.
