HCMC – The Central Inspection Commission today, August 29, proposed disciplining Le Duy Minh, Party secretary and director of the HCMC Department of Finance, for various violations.
At its 46th meeting on August 28 and 29, the commission determined that Minh, along with several other officials, breached Party rules and State laws, leading to serious consequences and negative public perception.
The violations were linked to his responsibilities in finance management and anti-corruption efforts. The commission noted that these infractions have damaged the reputation of the Party and local government in HCMC.
The investigation is part of a broader review of misconduct across multiple provinces. In Bac Giang, chairman Le Anh Duong, vice chairman Le O Pich, and Provincial People’s Council Chairwoman Le Thi Thu Hong received a warning from the commission.
These officials were found to have violated the principle of democratic centralism and Party and State regulations and that they were irresponsible and lax in their leadership and direction, which led to financial losses and damage to local governance credibility.
Similarly, in Lai Chau Province, the Central Inspection Commission has proposed disciplinary measures against the Standing Committee of the Lai Chau City Party Committee for the 2015-2020 term.
The commission also issued a warning to Vuong Van Thang, chairman of the Lai Chau City People’s Council; Luong Chien Cong, director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Lai Chau City; Nguyen Xuan Tu, chairman of the Lai Chau City People’s Committee, and other senior officials.
