HCMC – The Central Inspection Commission has recommended disciplinary measures against Le Minh Khai, Deputy Prime Minister and former secretary of the Party Central Committee, and multiple other high-ranking officials for their involvement in violations at the Dai Ninh urban development project in Lam Dong Province.

The Central Inspection Commission held its 45th session on August 7 and 8 in Hanoi, reviewing the inspection’s results and recommending disciplinary actions against the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the People’s Committee of Lam Dong Province.

The Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Committee and the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the People’s Committee of Lam Dong are found to have violated principles of democratic centralism and working regulations; and exhibited irresponsibility and lax leadership, making it possible for the provincial People’s Committee and numerous organizations and individuals to breach Party rules and State laws on land management in several investment projects, especially the Dai Ninh urban area project.

Several officials are held accountable, including Tran Duc Quan, former member of the Party Central Committee, secretary of the Party Committee of Lam Dong and chairman of the People’s Council of Lam Dong; and Tran Van Hiep, former deputy secretary of Lam Dong’s Party Committee and chairman of the provincial People’s Committee; and multiple leaders of the province.

The Central Inspection Commission also determined that many other officials are held responsible for the aforementioned violations, including the Party organization of the Lam Dong People’s Council for the 2021-2026 term; the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Government Inspectorate for the 2016-2021 term; the Standing Board of the Party Committee of the Government Office for the 2020-2025 term; and Le Minh Khai, Deputy Prime Minister, former secretary of the Party Central Committee, as well as other Party organizations and members.

As a result, the Central Inspection Commission decided to issue warnings against the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Committee for 2011-2016, 2016-2021, and 2021-2026; the Party organization of the Lam Dong Provincial People’s Council for the 2021-2026 term; and the Dalat Party Committee’s Standing Committee for the 2020-2025 term, and multiple individuals.

A reprimand was issued against the Standing Committee of the Government Office’s Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Additionally, the Central Inspection Commission recommended that the competent authorities review and impose disciplinary actions on the Standing Committee of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee for the 2015-2020 and 2020-2025 terms; the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Government Inspectorate for the 2016-2021 term; and Le Minh Khai.
