HCMC – Local gold prices rose further, with SJC-brand gold bars up by VND700,000 per tael, accompanied by similar increases in gold ring prices, according to local media reports.
On November 20, the Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) listed gold bar prices at VND82.7 million per tael for buying and VND85.7 million per tael for selling, up by VND700,000 per tael from the previous day. Four state-run banks have also adjusted up their selling prices to VND85.7 million per tael.
Meanwhile, ring gold prices at enterprises also surged, with DOJI listing gold rings at VND84.1–85.1 million per tael and PNJ at VND83.9-84.9 million per tael.
Since the beginning of the week, gold ring prices have rebounded by VND3 million per tael. However, they are around VND5 million below the record highs seen at the end of October.
