HCMC – The People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province has approved a starting price of nearly VND2.69 trillion to auction a 92.5-hectare land lot for a tourism and resort project at Chua Chan Mountain in Xuan Loc Commune.

The land, part of a 100-hectare area, will be leased under a one-time payment scheme for the entire lease term, according to a decision signed by the provincial chairman. The starting price is around VND2.8 million per square meter.

Earlier, the province approved a revised master plan for preserving and developing the Chua Chan Mountain scenic site through 2030. The plan aims to turn the area into an eco-tourism and spiritual destination, featuring activities such as mountain climbing, cave exploration, cultural tours, and recreation.

The plan also includes four new cable car lines and four funicular lines to connect areas on the mountain.

Dong Nai has identified five priorities, including developing the eco-resort area, conserving heritage sites, land clearance, environmental protection, and workforce training. Total investment is estimated at VND18.25 trillion.

The provincial government said the revised plan is intended to protect and promote the site’s heritage value while attracting investment in tourism, services, and infrastructure.

Standing 837 meters above sea level, Chua Chan Mountain is the second-highest peak in southern Vietnam after Ba Den Mountain in Tay Ninh Province. It was recognized as a national scenic site in 2012.
