HCMC – Dong Nai Province in southern Vietnam will invest VND123 trillion in four infrastructure projects, including two bridges, a metro line extension, and a regional connector road, reported the Vietnam News Agency.
The projects are the Long Hung Bridge, the Cat Lai Bridge, an extension of HCMC’s Metro Line No. 1 to Bien Hoa and Long Thanh International Airport, and a road linking Dong Xoai Ward to Beltway No. 4 in HCMC.
The Long Hung Bridge will span nearly 12km with eight lanes and cost about VND11 trillion. The Cat Lai Bridge, planned to replace the current ferry service, will be over 11 km long with eight lanes and an investment of nearly VND20 trillion. Both projects are scheduled for 2025-2028 under build-operate-transfer contracts.
The metro extension will be more than 38km long and require an estimated investment of VND75 trillion.
The VND22.6-trillion road project will run over 60km and have four lanes, with construction planned to begin in the second quarter of 2026.
