HCMC – The European Commission (EC) has launched an anti-dumping investigation into certain cold-rolled steel imports from Vietnam, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The investigation targets cold-rolled flat steel, excluding stainless, coated and color-coated steel.
The dumping investigation period is from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025. The injury assessment period runs from January 1, 2022, to June 30, 2025. The investigation is scheduled to conclude within one year, but may be extended to a maximum of 14 months.
The EC notice includes details on the applicant’s claims, products under review, alleged dumping, injury, and causality. It also refers to alleged government intervention in raw material pricing.
The commission outlined procedures, deadlines, rights and obligations of involved parties, and guidance on submitting documents through its TRON electronic system.
