HCMC – The Westerdam cruise ship, owned by Holland America Line, called at Tien Sa Port in the central coastal city of Danang on January 2, with over 2,000 passengers on board.
This was the first group of international visitors to come to the city by sea in the new year.
The Westerdam hailed from various countries, including the Netherlands, England, France, Italy, Denmark, Hungary, Canada, the U.S., South Korea, Japan, and Australia.
The passengers had one day to explore the city’s attractions, including the Marble Mountains, Linh Ung Pagoda, and the Museum of Cham Sculpture.
The 5-star Westerdam cruise ship features classic and opulent amenities and a comfortable interior equipped with cutting-edge technology.
In 2023, Danang received 22 cruise ships with 18,000 passengers on board. This year more than 40,000 passengers on board 45 cruise ships are projected to come to the city, according to data of Danang Port JSC.
