HCMC – Five Indian experts have just been confirmed as Vietnam’s latest Covid-19 patients, bringing the nation’s tally to 1,105 as of October 9, said the Health Ministry.
The five men, aged between 31 and 66, work at Sethia Hemraj Rice Oil Company. On October 6, they flew from India to Vietnam on Flight 6E9471, which landed at HCMC’s Tan Son Nhat airport. After arrival, they were taken to a military school in the Mekong Delta province of Dong Thap for quarantine.
They are now under medical treatment and quarantine at Sa Dec General Hospital in Dong Thap.
Among the country’s total infections, 1,024 Covid-19 patients have made a full recovery, while 35 others have died of the coronavirus.
