Na Bo Hamlet, located along the section of the Boi River flowing through Hop Kim Commune in Phu Tho Province (formerly part of Sao Bay Commune, Kim Boi District, Hoa Binh Province), has become a spot where visitors can sit on bamboo rafts and enjoy views of the mountain ranges on both sides of the river.
Located about 36 kilometers from Hoa Binh Ward and 80 kilometers from Hanoi, the Boi River has become a popular weekend escape for city residents seeking nature and peace. Extending nearly 127 kilometers, the river begins where streams come together in Kim Boi Commune. Its clear, shallow water and wide green meadows along the banks make it a perfect place for camping and outdoor activities.

The area is often compared to a living watercolor painting, where visitors can leave behind the bustle of daily life and immerse themselves in nature. Vast forests and Muong ethnic villages scattered across the region add to its cultural charm.
In recent years, Na Bo Hamlet in Hop Kim Commune has become popular as a rural tourism spot, as the Boi River winds through the village, creating a peaceful and scenic environment. The still water reflects the clouds and mountains around it, forming a beautiful landscape that combines majesty with calmness.

Locals have turned this natural advantage into a way to earn income by setting up hundreds of floating bamboo rafts for tourists to enjoy riverside “camping” experiences. Each raft, equipped with a roof, allows visitors to relax, eat, and take in the scenery.
The Boi River area has a mild climate all year round because of its position among the northwestern mountains. Summer is not too hot, making it a perfect escape for relaxation. Still, spring is considered the best time to visit, when flowers bloom across the hills, creating a lively landscape and a fresh atmosphere ideal for photography and outdoor activities.
For those looking for peace and quiet, fall offers a calm and enjoyable experience. Visitors are advised to avoid the rainy season, usually in July and August, when heavy rains can disrupt travel and outdoor plans.
