HCMC – Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang has signed prime ministerial decisions taking disciplinary measures against four former vice chairpersons of the People’s Committee of Bac Ninh Province.

These include Nguyen Tien Nhuong, Nguyen Luong Thanh, Nguyen Van Phong and Nguyen Huu Thanh.

Specifically, Nguyen Tien Nhuong, serving as former vice chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee during the 2011-2016 and 2016-2021 terms was removed from all official positions.

In January, the Investigative Police Agency under the Ministry of Public Security pressed charges against Nhuong for abusing his position and power while performing official duties.

Nguyen Luong Thanh, former vice chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee for the 2011-2016 term, is also subject to the same disciplinary measure.

The PM also gave a disciplinary warning to Nguyen Van Phong, former vice chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee in the 2016-2021 tenure, and reprimanded Nguyen Huu Thanh, former vice chairman of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee in the same tenure.

The Central Inspection Commission concluded that the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the Bac Ninh People’s Committee violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations; and lacked responsibility in leadership, thus leading to numerous organizations and individuals violating Party rules and State laws in managing certain projects implemented by AIC Joint Stock Company (AIC) and AIC-affiliated companies.
