HCMC – The Central Inspection Commission has recommended disciplinary action against Pham Van Vong, former secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee, along with several other former provincial officials, said local media reports.
On November 18, the Central Inspection Commission held its 51st session, chaired by Tran Cam Tu, chairman of the commission and permanent member of the 13th Party Central Committee’s Secretariat.
After reviewing the inspection results, the commission found that Pham Van Vong, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the Party Committee of Vinh Phuc Province, and former chairman of the Vinh Phuc People’s Council, showed signs of political, moral, and lifestyle degradation.
He was found to have breached Party regulations and State laws while performing his assigned duties, including in efforts to prevent corruption, wastefulness, and other negative practices, as well as in overseeing projects carried out by Phuc Son Group.
He failed to set a proper example, causing serious damage, including major losses to the state budget and public outrage. His actions severely harmed the reputation of the Party and local authorities, requiring disciplinary action.
Other individuals committed similar wrongdoings, including Phung Quang Hung, former deputy secretary of the Vinh Phuc Party Committee, and Ha Hoa Binh, former member of the Standing Committee of the Vinh Phuc Party Committee and former vice chairman of the Vinh Phuc People’s Committee.
Based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Commission proposed that the competent authorities consider disciplinary action against Pham Van Vong, Phung Quang Hung, and Ha Hoa Binh.
