Four killed as bus plunges into ravine in Lam Dong

HCMC – Four people were killed and several others injured after a passenger bus plunged into a ravine near Bau Trang sand dunes in Lam Dong Province, according to the local media.

The accident occurred at around 3:30 p.m today on Provincial Road DT716 near Bau Trang in Hoa Thang Commune in former Binh Thuan Province.

The passenger bus was traveling from Bau Trang toward Lien Huong Commune when it lost control at a sharp curve and veered off the road into a deep ravine, according to initial reports.

Three people died at the scene and seven others were injured and taken to hospital. The bus was severely damaged after the fall, and some victims were reportedly still trapped inside.

Immediately after receiving the report, first responders arrived at the scene, transporting the injured to hospitals and searching for those still trapped in the vehicle.

By 4:50 p.m. the same day, one of the injured victims had died, bringing the death toll to four.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
