HCMC – Vietnam’s railway operator suspended four North–South passenger trains on November 19 as heavy rains and flooding continued to disrupt sections of the south-central region, particularly the route from Nha Trang Station to Dieu Tri Station.
The suspended services include the SE7 departing from Hanoi, the SE6 from HCMC, and the SE21/SE22 operating between Danang and HCMC. The railway sector had already halted six passenger trains on November 17 and 18, bringing the total number of suspended trains to 10 as of 9 a.m. today, according to the Vietnam News Agency.
The railway operator has activated a free online ticket refund system for passengers affected by service cancellations or major delays caused by natural disasters and other serious incidents. Passengers notified via SMS or Zalo that their trains have been canceled may request refunds at stations or through the official website, dsvn.vn, without visiting a ticket counter.
Refunds will be processed automatically to the original payment account. To ensure successful processing, passengers must provide accurate information, including phone number, email address, and booking code.
Passengers currently stranded due to halted services—such as train SNT2 at Hoa Tan Station; SE1 and SE3 at Dieu Tri Station; and SE4 and SE2 at Tuy Hoa Station—will receive full support for refunds and ticket changes.
