HCMC – The HCMC government has written to the Ministry of Transport seeking approval for the fourth bridge which will span across the Saigon River.
Under the construction plan, Thu Thiem 4 Bridge would cost VND4.8 trillion and have a length of around 2.16 kilometers, including 1,635 meters for the main part. The bridge will have six lanes, with four lanes for autos and two mixed-use lanes.
Previously, the Thu Thiem 4 Bridge was approved to have four lanes, connecting District 7 and District 2 (now Thu Duc City).
The bridge is projected to have a vertical clearance of 15 meters, facilitating waterway transportation, particularly floating restaurants serving tourists along the Saigon River.
