HCMC – Vietnamese technology giant FPT Corporation has set an ambitious goal of achieving US$5 billion in revenue from foreign markets by 2030. To realize this target, the company is actively seeking support from Vietnamese diplomatic agencies abroad.
FPT’s aspiration aligns with Vietnam’s broader strategy to bolster its information technology (IT) industry and position itself as a global hub for technology and innovation.
Artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and big data are anticipated to be pivotal drivers of growth in the IT industry in the forthcoming years. FPT aims to capitalize on these trends by expanding into new markets, with a particular focus on North America and Europe, the firm said in a statement.
Currently, FPT generates US$1 billion in annual overseas revenue. To fuel its growth trajectory, the company is focusing on key initiatives such as expanding its global presence, investing in cutting-edge technologies, and nurturing a skilled workforce.
With a history spanning 35 years and boasting a workforce of 30,000 employees worldwide, FPT has consistently demonstrated strong growth performance, achieving a revenue increase of 20% in 2023.
