HCMC – Vietnam’s FPT Corporation and the National University of Singapore (NUS)’s School of Computing have announced a five-year, US$50-million partnership aimed at advancing artificial intelligence (AI) and developing a skilled AI workforce.
The collaboration will focus on three key areas: establishing an AI Lab, commercializing AI solutions, and nurturing AI talent.
The AI Lab, based at NUS Computing, will leverage FPT’s industry expertise and NUS’ research capabilities. It will concentrate on real-world AI applications in sectors such as banking, logistics, and manufacturing.
FPT and NUS will collaborate to develop and launch AI products and services for global markets.
The partnership will also include joint programs, such as internships, training courses, and PhD opportunities, to cultivate a new generation of AI professionals in Singapore and across the Asia-Pacific region.
Truong Gia Binh, founder and chairman of FPT Corporation, said, “This partnership will harness the power of AI to drive mutual growth and success, not only in Singapore and Vietnam but globally.”
