HCMC – FPT Corporation (HOSE, ticker: FPT) has inaugurated its regional headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of its global expansion plan to meet the rising demand for digital services and solutions.
The opening ceremony coincided with Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This expansion marks FPT as the first Vietnamese firm licensed for regional operations in this Gulf country, reaffirming its dedication to Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation and Vision 2030.
Located in the heart of the region’s largest economy, the Riyadh regional headquarters positions FPT closer to key clients and unlocks new business opportunities.
As the first Vietnam-based business authorized for regional operations in Saudi Arabia, FPT is poised to meet the region’s growing demand for advanced technology. The new regional headquarters is also set to build sustainable partnerships with public and private entities, playing an active role in advancing Saudi Arabia and the region’s technological ecosystem.
Closing the trading session today, November 1, FPT fell by 0.96% day-on-day to VND134,000, with 2,667,500 shares transacted.
On the southern bourse, the VN-Index of the Hochiminh Stock Exchange lost 9.59 points, or 0.76%, day-on-day, closing at 1,254.89 points, with 86 winners and 289 losers.
Around 580.5 million shares worth VND14.8 trillion were traded, down by 5.5% in volume and 18% in value against yesterday’s session. Block deal transactions contributed around VND1.2 trillion to the overall value.
The VN30 basket underperformed as its index dropped nearly 13 points, with 25 stocks declining while only three managed to remain in the green. On the downside, about half of the stocks recorded declines of 1% or more, with POW dropping the most at 2.9%. MSN had the biggest impact on the index, shaving off more than 0.7 points as it closed down by 2.7%.
On the northern bourse, the HNX-Index inched down by 0.95 point, or 0.42%, compared to the previous session, at 225.41 points. Around 38.2 million shares worth VND609 billion were transacted.
