HCMC – FPT Corporation and the Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute (Mila) have extended their strategic partnership by three years to promote Responsible AI, an approach that utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) with ethical intentions to empower individuals and organizations.
The companies will collaborate on developing guidelines, practices and ethical standards that prioritize transparency, fairness, accountability, and privacy in AI applications.
This partnership aims to support FPT’s and Mila’s plans for fostering sustainable growth, enhancing human development and driving social progress.
The expanded partnership was announced at the Vietnam-Canada AI Summit, held to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Phong Nguyen, FPT Software’s chief AI officer, said, “The partnership enables FPT Software to provide Vietnamese engineers with opportunities to access the latest breakthroughs and innovations, utilizing their knowledge, talent, and creativity to contribute to Vietnam’s growth as a world-class AI hub.”
FPT has established the first AI Research Hub in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province, with an investment of over US$85 million. The facility will serve as a research, development and learning center for 20,000 technology professionals.
