HCMC – Retail fuel prices were lowered from 2 p.m. on March 25, with RON95-III gasoline reduced by VND3,883 per liter, reversing an increase applied late on March 24, according to the Ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance.
RON95-III is now capped at VND29,957 per liter. E5 RON92 fell by VND2,039 to no more than VND28,075 per liter.
Diesel oil dropped by VND1,767 to VND37,899 per liter. Kerosene fell by VND4,100 to VND36,355 per liter. Heavy fuel oil decreased by VND2,364 to VND20,245 per kilogram.
The ministries used the fuel price stabilization fund to support the cuts. The fund was applied at VND3,000 per liter for gasoline and kerosene, VND4,000 per liter for diesel, and VND3,000 per kilogram for heavy fuel oil.
Without the fund, RON95-III would have been priced at VND32,957 per liter, while E5 RON92 would have reached VND31,075 per liter. Diesel, kerosene and heavy fuel oil would have been capped at VND41,899 per liter, VND39,355 per liter, and VND23,245 per kilogram, respectively.
