Fuel prices kept unchanged

HCMC – Vietnam’s fuel retail prices were kept unchanged in the March 13 price adjustment, with authorities increasing spending from the fuel price stabilization fund by up to VND5,000 per liter to help stabilize the domestic market.

In Official Dispatch No. 670 dated March 13 sent to fuel wholesalers and distributors, the Domestic Market Management and Development Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade said retail prices of fuels would remain the same as those set in the price adjustment on March 12, in order to stabilize the fuel market and limit impacts on the economy and society.

At the same time, spending from the fuel price stabilization fund will follow Decision No. 450/QD-BCT dated March 12, 2026 issued by the Minister of Industry and Trade on applying the stabilization fund mechanism.

Under the decision, spending from the stabilization fund is set at VND4,000 per liter for biofuel and VND4,000 per liter for RON95 gasoline. Diesel oil receives the highest support of VND5,000 per liter, while kerosene is supported at VND4,000 per liter and heavy fuel oil at VND4,000 per kilogram.

Earlier, from 10:00 p.m. on March 12, domestic fuel retail prices were adjusted. E5 RON92 gasoline was reduced by VND450 per liter to VND22,500 per liter, while RON95 gasoline increased by VND330 per liter to VND25,570 per liter.

Diesel oil rose by VND550 per liter to VND27,020 per liter, and kerosene jumped by VND2,520 per liter to VND26,930 per liter. Meanwhile, heavy fuel oil fell by VND340 per kilogram to VND18,660 per kilogram.
