HCMC – Retail prices of fuels rose by about VND500 at 3.00 p.m. today, January 18, following a joint decision by the ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance.
Bio-fuel E5 RON92 now sells for VND21,410 per liter, an uptick of VND370, while the higher-grade RON95 petrol is capped at VND22,480 per liter, up by VND550.
Other fuels have also risen in prices. Diesel oil is now priced at VND20,190 per liter, up VND490; and kerosene are up VND200 to VND20,530 per liter.
Meanwhile, heavy fuel oil is down VND130 to VND15,500 per kilogram.
During this fuel price adjustment, the two ministries continued to impose no surcharges on all types of fuel, while local fuel traders are not allowed to tap the fuel price stabilization fund.
