HCMC – The price of the high-grade RON95 gasoline climbed by VND800 per liter to a fresh record of VND32,270 a liter today, June 13, while other fuels jumped by over VND2,000 per liter.

According to an announcement jointly issued by the Ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance, the bio-fuel E5 RON92 is now priced at VND31,110 per liter, up VND880 a liter.

The prices of diesel oil and kerosene were revised up by VND2,630 and VND2,490 per liter to reach VND29,020 and VND27,830 per liter, respectively. Heavy fuel oil saw its price fall by VND550 at VND20,350 per kilogram.

During this fuel price adjustment, the ministries tapped the fuel price stabilization fund and did not impose the surcharge on all fuels but heavy fuel oil to replenish the fund.

Specifically, the ministries allowed fuel traders to tap VND100 from the fund for each liter of E5 RON92 sold, VND200 for RON95, VND300 for kerosene and VND400 for diesel oil. The surcharge on heavy fuel oil is VND300 per kilogram sold.

This year, the prices of gasoline have been adjusted up for six consecutive times, the local media reported.
