HCMC – The ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance have decided to cut fuel prices further, reducing costs for gasoline and other oil products by VND160 to VND760 per liter from 3 p.m. today, March 13.
The price of RON 95-III, the most popular gasoline in Vietnam, declined by VND760 to VND19,640. E5 RON 92 saw a reduction of VND680, settling at VND19,280 per liter.
Oil products also became more affordable. Diesel dropped by VND440 to VND17,890 per liter, while kerosene fell by VND480 to VND18,090 per liter. Heavy oil experienced a smaller decline of VND160, bringing its price to VND16,990 per kilogram.
The two ministries have maintained their policy of not imposing a surcharge on any fuel type, and local fuel traders are not allowed to tap into the price stabilization fund during this adjustment.
