Ho Chi Minh City – Fulbright University Vietnam marked a major milestone by holding a Home Campus Construction Celebration on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the Saigon Hi-Tech Park. The event highlighted the university’s commitment to support Vietnam’s continued socioeconomic transformation through human capital and technological innovation.
A Hub for Innovation and Regional Impact
The campus was designed by SHoP Architects (New York) in collaboration with MH Architects, Arup, Aurecon, and DP Consulting, and is being built by Newtecons, one of Vietnam’s leading construction contractors. In line with Fulbright’s commitment to sustainable development, the campus aims for LEED Gold and EDGE certifications, reflecting its dedication to green design, energy efficiency, and a healthy learning environment for future generations.
As a shining example of the US-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership since its 2016 founding, Fulbright University Vietnam’s educational philosophy centers on holistic, interdisciplinary learning, with programs focused on developing the critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability essential for a technology and AI-driven world.
A Defining Milestone for Fulbright University Vietnam
The construction celebration signals a significant and timely step in realizing Fulbright University Vietnam’s vision, as Vietnam is rapidly asserting itself as a center for technological innovation in the region, navigating a global transformation driven by artificial intelligence (AI). FUV aims to be a crucial bridge between academia and technology, ensuring Vietnam has the human capital to drive this progress.

“We also extend our profound appreciation to the governments of Vietnam and the United States for their steadfast partnership and trust in Fulbright’s mission,” Dr. Đinh Vũ Trang Ngân, Fulbright University Vietnam’s president said in her remarks. “In particular, we wish to thank the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee and the Saigon Hi-Tech Park for their exceptional support and collaboration in making this campus a reality.”
Indeed the event saw strong government and institutional support, as it was attended by Ms. Trần Thị Diệu Thúy, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, along with representatives from the Saigon Hi-Tech Park Management Board and Tang Nhon Phu Ward. Also present were members of Fulbright’s Board of Trustees, key partners, and representatives from Newtecons, Fulbright’s construction partner.

Expected to open for the 2026–2027 academic year, the campus will serve as Fulbright’s new home for teaching, research, and innovation. The first phase of construction includes two main buildings: one housing the core technical systems that ensure uninterrupted campus operations such as power, water, air conditioning, fire safety, and security; and the other serving as Fulbright’s academic and innovation hub, featuring a traditional and digital library, hybrid classrooms, laboratories, maker spaces, and multifunctional sports and performance areas totaling nearly 10,000 m².
Looking ahead, the university aims to become a model university for the future, where innovation is linked to real-world impact, connecting education, technology, and society to create sustainable value for Vietnam and the region.
