Furama introduces local specialties for summer

Last week, Furama Resort Danang hosted the summer culinary cultural experience gala event themed “Fragrance of Danang’s Sea, Taste of Vietnam,” inspiring local and foreign diners.

This was part of the “Vietnamese culinary cultural journey” event that Furama, in collaboration with partners, has run to offer local specialties to diners during four seasons this year.

The culinary space imbued with Danang’s seaside atmosphere, blended with traditional Vietnamese flavors, created impressive experiences. Four Vietnamese master chefs – Doan Van Tuan, Do Ngoc Cong, Nguyen Danh Hinh, and Le Xuan Tam – showed their creative cooking skills to prepare local dishes associated with cultural stories suggested by culinary culture researcher Le Tan.

The event was also a chance to promote local products used to prepare dishes, such as farm produce from mountainous areas in Danang, Quang Nam and Thua Thien Hue, and Nam O fish sauce.

Nguyen Duc Quynh, chairman of the Danang Hotel Association, said culinary festivals, traditional art performances, and cultural experience activities such as joining cooking classes and visiting craft villages all bring unforgettable experiences to tourists, local and foreign alike. The strategy that closely combines culture and cuisine not only brings economic benefits to stakeholders but also contributes to preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, creating a special attraction for the destination of Danang.
