HCMC – The RON95 gasoline price rose by VND3,150 to VND33,840 per liter from 11:00 p.m. on March 24, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Under the latest adjustment, E5 RON92 increased by VND2,937 to VND30,114 per liter, while diesel rose by VND6,246 to VND39,666 per liter. Kerosene climbed to VND40,455 per liter, up VND4,529, and heavy oil edged up by VND420 to VND22,609 per kilogram.

The ministries of Industry and Trade and Finance used the fuel price stabilization fund at levels of VND3,000–4,000 per liter or kilogram, depending on the product. No additional contributions were made to the fund during this adjustment.

Authorities estimated that without the fund, RON95 could have reached VND36,840 per liter and diesel VND43,666 per liter. The intervention reduced retail prices by around VND3,000–4,000 per liter.

The adjustment follows increases in global fuel prices linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the Gulf, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, and disruptions at major energy facilities, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported.

A price gap between E5 RON92 and RON95 was maintained to encourage the use of biofuels.

The stabilization fund has been used continuously since early March, with an estimated balance of VND890 billion.
