The village offers a vibrant natural experience, with scenery that changes throughout the day. Sunrise casts gentle light over the misty river, midday provides clear views of the surrounding peaks, and sunset colors the sky in warm hues.

From Gioc Rung, visitors can easily access several of Cao Bang’s top attractions within 20 kilometers, including Ban Gioc Waterfall, Nguom Ngao Cave, Cao Vit Gibbon Species and Habitat Conservation Area, and Ban Viet Lake. These sites, connected by the emerald water of the Quay Son River, create a rich journey through the province’s natural and cultural highlights.

Cao Bang, located in northeastern Vietnam and sharing over 300 kilometers of border with China, is known for its rugged terrain and diverse ecosystems. The province features stunning mountains, vast cave systems, and many rivers and lakes, making it a top destination for eco-tourism and adventure travel.

Cao Bang offers distinct seasonal experiences. From June to September, the rainy season brings powerful flows to the Ban Gioc Waterfall, creating dramatic cascades and mist. August and September are particularly scenic, as rice terraces ripen to a golden hue, adding vibrant color to the landscape.

The village offers visitors an ideal stop for a peaceful retreat

From October to May, the dry season features cooler temperatures and calmer, clearer rivers. October is perfect for those wanting to see the waterfall along with harvest season scenery. In November and December, wild sunflowers and buckwheat flowers blossom, while March is the season of pear blossoms.

Morning and evening temperatures in the mountains can fall to 15-16 degrees Celsius, so visitors riding motorbikes should bring warm clothing and rain gear.
