HCMC – Domestic gold prices this afternoon (October 6) continued their upward momentum, with SJC gold exceeding VND140 million per tael, marking a new record high.
As of 4:30 p.m. on October 6, data from bieudogiavang.vn showed that major gold retailers, including SJC, Bao Tin Minh Chau, and DOJI, quoted SJC gold at VND138.1 million for buying and VND140.1 million for selling. This represented an increase of VND500,000 per tael compared to this morning and VND1.5 million higher than yesterday’s close. The price gap between buying and selling remained steady at VND2 million.
At Phu Quy Jewelry, SJC gold was traded at VND137.5 million for buying and VND140.1 million for selling — also the highest level on record.
Gold rings followed the same trend, rising sharply by VND1.5-2 million per tael depending on retailer. At Phu Quy, gold rings were quoted at VND134.5 million for buying and VND137.5 million for selling, up VND1.8 million from the previous day. SJC listed plain gold rings at VND134.3 million and VND137 million, an increase of VND2 million per tael, while Bao Tin Minh Chau quoted prices at around VND135.3 million and VND138.3 million, up VND1.7 million.
