HCMC – The National Assembly (NA) approved the appointment of three new deputy prime ministers for the 2021-2026 term at its 8th extraordinary session today, August 26.
Among the three new PMs is Nguyen Hoa Binh, who was earlier today relieved from his post as chief justice of the Supreme People’s Court. The other two are Minister of Finance Ho Duc Phoc and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son.
All the 432 delegates present at the session voted in favor of the appointment of Nguyen Hoa Binh, Ho Duc Phoc, and Bui Thanh Son as deputy prime ministers at the request of PM Pham Minh Chinh.
The Government now has five deputy prime ministers: Nguyen Hoa Binh, Tran Hong Ha, Le Thanh Long, Ho Duc Phoc and Bui Thanh Son.
