HCMC – The Government has given approval in principle for the Dinh Khao Bridge project to connect Vinh Long and Ben Tre provinces through a public-private partnership (PPP).

The project aims to alleviate traffic congestion on National Highway 57 and replace the existing Dinh Khao ferry service. The bridge is scheduled to be constructed between 2024 and 2028, linking Mang Thit District in Vinh Long Province with Cho Lach District, Ben Tre Province.

The bridge will start at Provincial Road 902 next to the bypass of National Highway 57 in Mang Thit District, and ends at the intersection with National Highway 57 in Cho Lach District.

The total cost of the project is VND2,971 billion, with 51.1% to be sourced from the private sector and the remaining 48.9% from the State budget. The bridge and access roads will span 4.3 kilometers, designed for speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour.
