Green energy solutions introduced at Energy Taiwan & Net-Zero Taiwan 2024

HCMC – Around 480 domestic and international companies showcased cutting-edge green energy technologies, products, and services at Energy Taiwan & Net-Zero Taiwan 2024, aiming to foster idea exchange and accelerate sustainable business opportunities.

Energy Taiwan and Net-Zero Taiwan 2024, the largest B2B trade show in Taiwan for renewable energy and net-zero solutions, took place from October 4 to 6 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2, following a two-day delay due to typhoon Krathong.

The trade show brought together major industry players and emerging innovators, including solar power leaders such as TSEC, Motech, AUO, and New Green Power, along with wind energy developers like Ørsted Energy, Copenhagen Offshore Partners, Synera Renewable Energy Group, and Taiya Renewable Energy.

Meanwhile, GUS Technology, a Taiwanese manufacturer specializing in high-end lithium pouch cells,  showcased one-stop solutions from battery cells, modules to end-use applications, as well as energy storage systems.

Speaking with The Saigon Times, Dr. Prem Chandan, R&D Manager and Product Manager at GUS Technology, emphasized that their solutions are designed to extend the life cycle of materials in their products while also mitigating environmental impact.

Paul Peng, an administrator at Formosa Smart Energy Tech Corp, said that the company introduced its battery cell process technology at this year’s event. Along with its established product lines and next-generation technologies, the firm presented a diverse and forward-thinking strategy, effectively meeting current renewable energy market demands while anticipating future trends.

Formosa’s chairman Wang Ruey-Yu pointed out that the world is accelerating toward a low- carbon transition, with remarkable advancements in energy storage, electric transportation, and emerging energy technologies. In response to this continually changing industry landscape, the firm is deeply investing in key technologies and actively planning ahead.

Tim McBride, Powerwall Business Development Manager, APAC, Tesla, said that Tesla has continued its effort to accelerate a transition to sustainable energy as he introduced product suites like Powerwall and Megapack, which enables homeowners, businesses and utilities to manage their renewable energy generation, storage and consumption.

Meanwhile, Advantech introduced its intelligent energy management solutions aligning with ISO 14064/ISO 14067 and ISO 50001 standards, as well as iEMs suites, edge smart collection channel, and more. Those solutions are aimed at supporting businesses in achieving environmental goals and contributing to a healthier planet, a representative of Advantech said.

A variety of top-notch technology products, solutions, systems, and services were also displayed at other booths, such as those of Voltronic Power Technology, J&V Energy Technology, Dong Huang, and Deutsche Windtechnik, among others.

According to the organizers, this year’s event features 480 exhibitors and 1,625 booths, showcasing 30% growth and reaching an all-time high of 20% international participation.

Although this year’s exhibition was hit by a typhoon in Taiwan, causing the exhibition to be postponed for two days, a total of 705 international buyers still stayed in Taiwan to visit the exhibition, attracting nearly 20,000 related industry visitors.
