The Hanoi People’s Committee has issued regulations on the management and exploitation of West Lake, permitting the provision of 10 different services, including aqua golf, paragliding, swimming, diving, kayaking, and several water sports.
Cultural, sports, and tourism events, along with traditional festivals, boat races, water music performances, and hot air balloon shows, are also authorized for organization, according to the VnExpress news site.
Local authorities will collaborate with related departments and agencies to facilitate the development of these services and activities on West Lake and ensure compliance with environmental management requirements, including water quality, air quality, and waste.
West Lake, the largest natural freshwater lake northwest of downtown Hanoi, spans over 500 hectares with a circumference of 15 kilometers. It harbors a diverse aquatic ecosystem, including 72 species of floating plants, 12 species of crustaceans, 46 species of fish, and numerous other species.
A doctor donating blood 45 times
Dr. Nguyen Van Anh, 28, is now an intern at the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of the Hue Central Hospital in Hue City, Thua Thien-Hue Province.
Born into a poor farming family in Gio Linh District, Quang Tri Province, Anh always tried to study as hard as he could to pay tribute to his parents. In 2014, passing the entrance exams to both the Military Technology Academy and the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Anh decided to study at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Hue City. When Anh was a sophomore, along with some friends and benefactors, he founded a voluntary team to help patients in need. The voluntary team has been operational these days. It is worth noting that the intern doctor has donated blood 45 times since the beginning of his study at the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
Anh has been awarded many medals and certificates for what he has done for the hospital and patients.
Buon Ma Thuot to offer free coffee in March
The One Commune One Product (OCOP) Agriculture Fair is scheduled for March 9 and 10 on Ton Duc Thang Street, Tan Loi Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City, with free coffee tasting sessions as a standout feature of the event.
The fair is expected to attract the participation of numerous large coffee manufacturing businesses in the area. According to the Thanh Nien news site, cafes across wards and communes have been encouraged to join in serving complimentary coffee for at least one day on March 10.

Vietnamese travels to four Asian nations by motorbike
Nguyen Thuong, who lives in Dau Tieng District, Binh Duong Province, made his first motorbike trip to Cambodia in 2017. In 2022, with the help of a friend in Thailand, he made another trip to the kingdom of golden temples, also by motorbike.
Longing for making a motorbike trip from Vietnam to Singapore, Thuong asked for online information from the Vietnamese community in Singapore. He received positive feedback from some Vietnamese in this island nation. He also had a local company apply for licenses to ride a motorbike abroad.
On February 11, Thuong and his friend rode their motorbikes from Binh Duong to Cambodia through Hoa Lu border gate in Binh Phuoc Province. They continued traveling to Poipet border gate between Cambodia and Thailand. On the next day, they rode to Thailand and stayed overnight in Bangkok. It took them three days to travel nearly 1,000km from Bangkok to Malaysia. They spent three days visiting Kuala Lumpur and Malacca cities in Malaysia. Then they entered Singapore from Johor Bahru City of Malaysia.
Thuong told dantri.com.vn that they had crossed nearly 2,900km from their hometown to Singapore, spending some VND70 million (about US$3,000).
