HCMC – Hanoi has welcomed around one million tourists during the nine-day Tet holiday, up by 6% compared to the same period last year, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism.
International visitors totaled about 142,000, a 15.8% rise from 2024, with key source markets including China, South Korea, Taiwan, the U.S., the U.K., Malaysia, India, Germany, France, and Japan.
Domestic tourism also fared well, with 859,000 local visitors, up 5% from the previous year.
Tourism revenue during the holiday period is estimated at VND3.53 trillion, a 7.85% increase against last year.
Dang Huong Giang, director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, credited tourism businesses for proactively attracting visitors with new and engaging programs during the period, helping boost sightseeing, shopping, and experiences at local attractions.
