HCMC – The Mekong Delta province of Hau Giang is expediting site clearance for a section of the Chau Doc-Can Tho-Soc Trang expressway project, whose first phase was approved by the National Assembly on June 6 this year.
The section crossing Hau Giang is the third component of the project, with a total length of 36.9 kilometers and a cost of over VND9.9 trillion.
In Hau Giang, the project will span 11.1 kilometers in Chau Thanh A District and 25.8 kilometers in Phung Hiep District. The project will also build 54 bridges, eight tunnels, two interchanges and four intersections with a total area of 247 hectares to be reclaimed.
By the end of September, a geological survey will be finished while site clearance is slated for completion in November.
