HCMC – HCMC has announced 48 more projects are eligible for sale to foreign organizations and individuals, raising the total to 65, with the majority located in the city’s southern urban areas.

The HCMC People’s Committee has just announced a list of 48 residential projects where foreign organizations and individuals are permitted to buy homes, according to the committee’s official portal.

Among them, the majority are projects by Phu My Hung Development Corporation, with 39 located in Zone A of the southern HCMC new urban area (Tan Hung and Tan My wards).

In addition, there are three projects developed by Phu Hung Thai Development, a joint venture between Phu My Hung and three Japanese corporations: Daiwa House Group, Nomura Real Estate, and Sumitomo Forestry Group.

The list also includes several projects outside the Phu My Hung area, such as The Privé (developed by Dat Xanh Group in Binh Trung Ward), Vista Verde, Define, and another project in Cat Lai Ward (by Capitaland–Thien Duc Co., Ltd.), as well as a residential complex in Binh Trung Dong Ward by CVH Spring Co., Ltd.

HCMC had earlier announced 17 projects eligible for foreign buyers.

With the latest additions, the total has reached 65 projects, all situated outside zones related to national defense and security.

Experts believe that expanding the list will boost market liquidity and attract international professionals, as HCMC positions itself as a financial and semiconductor hub.

Under the 2023 Housing Law and Decree 95/2024, foreign individuals and organizations may only purchase properties in legally approved projects, limited to no more than 30% of apartments in a condominium or 250 detached houses within a single ward.
