HCMC – HCMC chairman Phan Van Mai, speaking at a meeting with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier today afternoon, January 24, called for more German companies to come for business.

Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, paid a half-day visit to HCMC where he and his spouse engaged in various activities, reported the local media.

At the meeting, Chairman Mai said that the southern city highly values ​​cooperation with German localities and that the city wants more cooperation with Germany in the fields of investment, trade, science and technology, education, and training.

President Steinmeier attended a roundtable meeting with German companies active in the city and visited the Vietnamese-German University.

He and his official delegation left the city today evening, concluding their January 23-24 state visit to Vietnam at the invitation of President of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong and his wife.
