HCMC – The HCMC Department of Natural Resources and Environment has announced that the new land price list is in its final stages of completion and has not been applied from August 1 as earlier expected.

Nguyen Toan Thang, director of the HCMC Department of Natural Resources and Environment, shared this information during a press briefing on the city’s socio-economic performance in the first seven months of the year, held on the afternoon of August 1.

Thang emphasized that the current price list is an adjustment rather than a new construction, as per the Land Law 2024.

According to the draft land price list prepared by the HCMC Department of Natural Resources and Environment, land prices in many districts would soar by five to 10-fold. In some areas on the city’s outskirts and neighboring regions, prices are expected to be adjusted up by 15 to 50 times higher than the current rates. However, these adjusted prices would still be only 70% of market value.

If the revised land price list is approved by the municipal People’s Committee, it would remain valid until the end of next year. Starting in early 2026, the city would introduce a new land price list that will be formulated in alignment with the Land Law.
