HCMC – HCMC generated an estimated VND208.07 trillion in tourism revenue in the first 10 months of 2025, up 22% over the same period last year, according to the city’s Tourism Department.

The figure represents nearly 72% of the city’s full-year target of VND290 trillion. International arrivals in the period rose 17.7% over the same period last year to 6.5 million, while domestic visitors totaled over 33 million. More than 705,000 international tourists visited the city in October alone.

The department said tourism maintained growth momentum in October as the city prepared for year-end events and welcomed large international groups. HCMC continued promotional campaigns in key markets and is shifting its focus toward product innovation and service professionalization.

October’s cultural events included a whale worship festival in Can Gio Commune, which expanded the city’s tourism offerings.

HCMC expects international arrivals to rise 40% in 2025. The city plans to develop beach, industrial and cruise tourism while accelerating digital and green transformation in the sector.

HCMC has 7,211 tourism-related businesses, including 1,815 travel firms and 5,396 lodging facilities offering 92,468 rooms. The city also has 9,540 licensed tour guides.
